   Mobile Library    16 April, 2020

Dear Parish Council.

Thank you to all of you who helped spread the word regarding the revised Mobile Library Routes that came into operation on 24th February. We managed 4 weeks and then we needed to withdraw the service due to the developing COVID 19 situation.

I wanted to assure you and all your parishioners that the Mobile Library will be back as soon as it is safe to do so.

I also wanted to let you know about all the online services that library members can access at this time. The best way to keep informed of services and ideas to stay connected to libraries is to check out our Social Media sites.https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/follow-bnes-libraries-social-media

We have created a Children's Library Online and an Adult Library Online. There are different themes each day. Do take a look.

Through LibrariesWest we have also made a change to enable residents to join online and immediately be able to access our digital services.

Important - Temporary changes as a result of Coronavirus pandemic

As libraries are physically closed at the moment we have temporarily made the following changes to the online joining process

- your temporary membership number and PIN will allow you to access our free e book, e audio book and e magazine services

- your temporary membership will remain live for 3 months instead of expiring after 4 weeks

We hope these measures will help you to make the most of our free online resources whilst libraries are physically closed.

Ancestry Library Edition has also agreed to allow temporary access from home during this time. Customers simply need to go to LibrariesWest website and log on with library membership number and PIN and click on the link https://www.librarieswest.org.uk/client/en_GB/default
This is usually available in our Core Libraries.

It would be great if you could share this information with your communities via social media, emails or newsletters.

Stay connected and stay well.
